Behavior Technician (Entry Level)

Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the client care team at Bridges Spectrum Therapy and our facility in Shelby Township. We strive to have all of our Behavior Technicians trained and certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within 6 months of hire.
Description

We are hiring entry level Behavior Technicians, with training provided. A Behavior Technician performs day-to-day execution of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to a child with autism, as prescribed by a plan created by and under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). A Behavior Technician works one-on-one with a child, performs direct client care and executes interventions that discourage negative behavior and encourage positive behavior to improve upon client communication, social interaction, daily living and problem-solving skills. Data is collected and recorded based on client behavior and ongoing progress.
Required Qualifications

• Some previous child care experience
• Reliability is essential
• Excellent client care, customer service, computer, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills
• Passion to work one-on-one with children with autism
• Ability to meet assigned goals
• Ability to pass a background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proof of employment eligibility/work authorization
Advantageous Qualifications

• Previous ABA experience or an existing RBT certification
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Completion of college coursework in Psychology, Education, Social Work or another human services field
• Ability to speak multiple languages
