Behavior Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join our location and client care team at Bridges Spectrum Therapy.
Description

This is an entry level position where you will receive training, gain a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and perform day to day execution of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans created by and under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for children with special needs, including autism. Perform direct client care and execute interventions that discourage negative behavior and encourage positive behavior that improves upon client communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. Collect and record data based on client behavior and ongoing progress.
Required Qualifications

• Excellent customer care, service, computer, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills
• Passion to work one-on-one with children with special needs, including autism
• Ability to meet assigned goals
• Ability to pass a background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proof of employment eligibility/work authorization
• Must be able to work evenings or weekends when needed.
Advantageous Qualifications

• Previous ABA experience or RBT certification
• Existing Certifications in First Aid and CPR
• Completion of college coursework in Psychology, Education, Social Work or another human services field
• Ability to speak multiple languages

Occupational Therapist

Bridges is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our location in Macomb County. This position will establish organizational processes and successfully launch services and operations.
Description

The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities
• Help patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), their families and caregivers
• Knowledge of practices, methodologies, interventions, and treatments that benefit children
• Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, compliance, and confidentiality
• Excellent collaboration, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills
• Experience with in-home care and/or telemedicine a plus
• Ability to speak multiple languages a plus
