Behavior Technician (Experienced)

Description

We are hiring experienced Behavior Technicians. A Behavior Technician performs day-to-day execution of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to a child with autism, as prescribed by a plan created by and under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). A Behavior Technician works one-on-one with a child, performs direct client care and executes interventions that discourage negative behavior and encourage positive behavior to improve upon client communication, social interaction, daily living and problem-solving skills. Data is collected and recorded based on client behavior and ongoing progress.
Required Qualifications

• Some previous child care experience
• Some previous experience as a Behavior Technician
• Reliability is essential
• Excellent client care, customer service, computer, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills
• Passion to work one-on-one with children with autism
• Ability to meet assigned goals
• Ability to pass a background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proof of employment eligibility/work authorization
Advantageous Qualifications

• An existing RBT certification
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Completion of college coursework in Psychology, Education, Social Work or another human services field
• Ability to speak multiple languages
